  • Updates build dependencies in package,json to resolve "out of date" message from jupyter when installing this extension.
  • Limits jupyterlab_pygments version to prevent conflicts when installing Jupyter Server 2.x with JupyterLab 3.x and other extensions.
  • Cleans log messages, most are reassigned to debug or simply commented out
  • Unused frontend test pieces with extra dependencies added unnecessary complexity to the build and were removed
  • Updates default github action to install the extension and check the status
