I'd like to suggest reframing this as a 'guide to writing a design history post' rather than a template.
I think it could work well as a guide / intro, but would be frustrating as an actual template. As an actual template you need to delete a load of bullets every time you use it. You also don't need to read the bullets for every post. I'd also worry about the existing headings getting over-used and making all posts too similar. It's also missing tags / dates / other sample things that might be helpful in a template.

| - Go into detail, ideally in context with visual aids (screengrabs or recordings) | ||
| - Avoid including prototype or live service links – these evolve so may not match what people are seeing in the design history | ||

Don't think all media need captions.

There's this existing guidance. I'd possibly suggest we could have something half way between the two. Avoid being too prescriptive, but try to nudge towards better posts. It would be good to encourage that posts be shorter / more to the point. It's more likely that they'll get written and read that way. |
