Making the diner parallel and hands free.
Gesture control of diner orders to avoid paper dockets and related hygiene issues. Groups nearby order items based off simple algorithm to allow optimal back of house performance.
Proof-of-concept designed around usage of a Leap Motion for kitchen input. The server can be considered front of house. Both ends are implemented via Electron apps that communicate across the local network.
For kitchen system use the following controls:
- Swipe right (right to left) to take top todo item
- right arrow key
- Swipe left (left to right) to undo last action
- left arrow key
- Swipe inwards (outwards from your body) to mark order as complete
- up arrow key
