But, why? Maybe a method of interpreting vim-like syntax could be useful in helping migrate from existing vim config files, but isn't the point of this sort of project to make things simpler, easier to read, optimized and standardized? From purely a design perspective, I'm having trouble seeing why going back to Vim's obscure configuration style is a good change. Perhaps you can help me understand?

A RFC could help to figure out what works and what is annoying in vim.
From my part the manual ordering was always annoying and automatic reordering of configurations would be awesome.
A special syntax for grouping common commands ie file-specific or plugin specific stuff would be great.
Current developed plugin solutions move slowly to server backends with JSON as transmission format.
