Planet Outreach
The following content is a mix of proposed, planned and implemented features. This page should be repurposed to a documentation of implemented features as development progresses.
All characters journey begins on the outreach outpost. Brand new characters begin in the cryochambers of the Outreach Outpost and existing characters with invalid spawn locations will be defaulted back to the outreach outpost. From a design perspective, the Outpost always needs to be able to facilitate a positive new player experience and it needs to be important enough for developed characters that it is always a focal point for activity and frequently returned to.
The outpost may be developed continually by the players that are operating on the planet, but it should be developed enough to facilitate every type of character that players can reasonably be expected to play.
The OCA is a Network that is predeveloped by admins prior to launch. Its purpose is to add identity and guidance to the new player experience while using in character mechanics to maintain the stable operation of the Outreach Outpost. The structure of the OCA needs further design and development.
