I've gone through GMPMS and done the following:
I've not been able to test it, as Google refuses to let me get even free songs without registering a credit card, and I refuse to give it to them as I gave them my previous card and it's way to easy to "accidently buy" something on Google Play. It does compile though, and I haven't really changed anything. It should be working just like before.
