Test the new plugin without deleting your local changes:

• Deactivate (but do not fully delete) your existing SimplyRETS plugin, on the Plugins->All Plugins page in your WordPress dashboard
• Upload the zip file above as a new plugin, on the Plugins->Add New->Upload Plugin page of your WordPress dashboard
• Activate the uploaded plugin, v3.1.1

If everything looks good, you can then safely delete your older SimplyRETS plugin. Future updates to the plugin will show just like normal, so no further action is required.
