Snapmaker Orca V2.2.4 Release
New Features
- Snapmaker Orca now supports independent updates for Mainland China and other regions.
- Introduced hot update support for Snapmaker Orca process presets.
- Introduced hot update support for Snapmaker Orca web resources.
- Added the chamfer feature for the prime tower brim to enhance the stability of the Rib prime tower.
- Introduced new material types, including Snapmaker PETG HF, Snapmaker TPU 95A HF, Generic PETG HF, and Generic TPU 95A HF.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where Snapmaker Orca could not be launched in certain Windows 11 environments.
- Fixed an issue where the process migration feature failed when switching between machine models.
- Fixed an issue where extrusion lines or travel paths were generated outside the build plate when using a Rib wipe tower.
- Fixed filament synchronization issues that could occur when connecting to the device. For example, in cases where filaments were not installed from the filament library, the new version resolves:
- An issue where Snapmaker PLA Snapspeed density being 0 could prevent print jobs from being sent;
- An issue where Generic PETG with a first-layer PEI steel sheet bed temperature set to 0 could cause poor first-layer print quality.
- Fixed an issue that caused the software to crash in certain scenarios.
- Fixed an issue where Bambu Lab printer models could not be selected on the Prepare page.
- Fixed Italian translation inaccuracies on Windows.
- Fixed an issue where the IP address reported by the device to Snapmaker Orca is inconsistent with its actual IP address, causing problems such as being unable to retrieve material information or unable to print on the Print Preprocessing page.
- Fixed an issue where users had to log in frequently.
Improvements
- Improved the warning for spiral lifting near the build plate boundaries.
- Optimized the popup scenario when switching between multiple pages.
- Improved the monitoring retrieval efficiency and file upload efficiency when the computer and device are on the same local network.
