  • TheFirst's ring lights now render mirrored
  • Updated config format from 1 to 2 to update default controller profile. All existing profiles should get automatically migrated upon loading
  • Added most settings to the settings menu
  • Added setting for Bloomfog render method: stereo, mono, desktop.
    • stereo renders to both eyes and the desktop
    • mono only renders on the first pass (this has severely poor quality)
    • desktop only renders Bloomfog on the desktop mirror and not in the VR view (good for recording if you can afford the performance for 1 pass but not 3)
  • Added a warning that appears if you play a map in VR while FPFC is enabled
  • Fixed saber bloom
  • Fixed beatmap spawning at eye height instead of floor height
  • Fixed block break override not working when you held the break button
  • Fixed smoke rendering really bright when bloom is disabled

  • Fixed light blending, this fixes visual artifacts such as lights being cut off when intersecting, particularly obvious in Weave.
  • Fixed audio threads being left hanging when exiting a map partway through.
  • Added support for Chroma events:
    • Spinning light events
    • Ring light rotation events
    • Ring light zoom events
  • Fixed how lights get clipped to avoid visual artifacts with mirrors
  • Added Big Mirror environment
  • Removed 2 lights from weave that weren't supposed to exist
  • Several fixes to the V3 lighting system
  • Weave's lights have been changed to have a more accurate color fall-off
  • Red and Blue sabers now appear in the creative inventory
  • Added settings to disable flickering lights in light shows, Expert+ has a separate setting from the other difficulties
  • Ghost note arrows now dissolve during the jump animation to match Beat Saber behavior

  • Sabers now render in 3rd person. This has caused a bug where saber bloom will appear in world space where it shouldn't, will be fixed eventually.
  • Audio is now streamed! no more freezing when selecting a map to play.
  • Distortion walls now work more consistently
  • Added new meshes for environments that can optionally be rendered during a map.
  • All light elements are now correctly positioned to the map's world position
  • Re-added smoke
  • Kaleidoscope lights are now mirrored correctly
  • Notes should no longer have specks from the dissolve shader when not dissolved
  • A handful of other small changes

Beatcraft is now available for NeoForge as well as Fabric, via Architectury API

Removed:

  • All blocks, may be re-added in the future
  • Multiplayer sync, will be re-added later
  • Removed owolib dependency: pause screens will be updated in the future without owolib
  • Removed sodium/ris dependency: Fixed a bug with walls that made them fully opaque instead of transparent

Added/Changed:

  • New item: Headset. when worn, spawns a beatmap that you can interact with
  • New recipes for sabers and the headset, uses iron, redstone, amethyst crystals, red/blue dye, and leather
  • Multiple beatmaps can now exist simultaneously, with different positions and rotations
  • re-did commands to fit new system
  • scoring is calculated in a new way, that might be closer to normal beat saber, but idk I haven't tested it very well

  • Fixed Reduced Debris toggle
  • Lightshows now properly reset when restarting a song
  • HUD Text is no longer a frame behind, which should fix weird depth in VR
  • Changed background on credits screen to avoid a bug with the blurred background
  • Added Ghost Notes and Disappearing Arrows Modifiers
  • V2 and V3 environments now handle bpm changes
  • Known issue: bpm changes can be very abrupt sometimes, this will be fixed eventually
