Distractions

Cognitivity allows the test manager to test the subject's different reactions to questions while providing much needed distractions that might interfere with the subject's focus.

Our current and most efficient distraction option includes setting a timer that will also be presented to the subject.

Setting a timer for a question

When creating a question, the test manager can decide (Using the dedicated checkbox) if he'd like to present the subject with a timer distraction during this specific question.

When marking the checkbox the test manager should also be inserting the desired time which will be initialized in the timer. When the timer's countdown ends - the question will be automatically skipped.

This feature allows the test manager to test the subject's reactions and answers under stress, which is very useful when processing the cognitive results.

Another option, is to distract the subject with an image that shows during the entire question.

Adding an image to a question:

After creating a question, the creator can add an image from a list of saved images. They can also add new images to the set of images (that are global to all test managers):

Note! Deleting an image is not currently supported, since this is usually a static set of images. The research usually will use a closed and small set of distractive images, which the manager can define (by adding), but not remove. If one wants to delete an image, they should contact the developers.
