Simple image recognition script to count tree growth rings as part of a student task to learn the basics of image processing.
This program consits of two python files and directories for input images as well as the processed output.
The main is used to process the image given in the input folder and referenced to via the path variable. The user is required to control the script via console input to process the image as needed. Currently, only the given images wood_1.bmp and wood_2.bmp can be used as the script is not optimized for all kinds of growth ring images.
This file outsorces the functionalities used in the main file.
