This repository provides raw fibre-optic hydrophone (FOH) data acquired for the study:
“Multilateration-based needle tracking with 3D ultrasound imaging for guiding minimally invasive procedures”
(submitted to Physics in Medicine & Biology)
The dataset contains unprocessed RF signals recorded by an FOH-integrated needle tip during ultrasound transmissions.
It is intended to support:
- Reproducibility of multilateration-based tracking
- Independent validation of time-of-arrival (ToA) estimation
- Signal processing and algorithm development

├── chicken_tissue
└── femoral_phantom
Each folder contains:
- Raw RF signals captured by the FOH
- Acquisition metadata (e.g., transmit sequence, sampling rate)
- Water tank – controlled acoustic environment
- Ex vivo chicken tissue – heterogeneous soft tissue
- Femoral phantom – anatomically representative model
- All data are raw and unprocessed
- No filtering, envelope detection, or ToA extraction has been applied
- Users should implement their own processing pipelines
For academic research use only.
