We developed a multivariable risk prediction model to estimate patient-specific breast cancer survival without chemotherapy on US cohort data (baseline model), and then predict incremental improvements from various systemic adjuvant therapies for individual breast cancer patients (final ASSESS model). The model provides overall survival (OS) and breast cancer-specific survival (BCSS) estimates. The following clinical variables are needed to run the model:
- age at diagnosis [20-85 years]
- tumor size [0-200 mm]
- tumor grade [1,2 or 3]
- number of positive lymph nodes [0-100]
- hormone receptor status [P or N]
- HER2 status [P or N]
ASSESS could be tested on exemplary patient data using Run_ASSESS_example.R script.
