According to an issue in HMMER it's not possible to compile it on little endian systems.
This pull request provides a workaround to install the development version of HMMER supporting ppc64le architectures.
The procedure is tested on RHEL Server 7.6 with POWER8 design.
Further testing is required before an automatic integration in the easy_setup system can be considered.
