Montamap is a web-based mountain exploration platform designed to help hikers explore hiking trails safely, informatively, and efficiently.
We combine:
- ⚑ Interactive mountain trail maps (Mapbox-powered)
- ☁ Real-time weather (OpenWeather API)
- ☎ One-touch SOS button
- ✏ Global mountain search, filters, and favorites
- ⚙ Multi-language and dark/light theme support
- 👥 Information on porters, guides, equipment, and local logistics
- ✉ Mountain news & trail status updates
- ✈ Community & group trip planning (coming soon)
Montamap is suitable for beginners to experienced hikers. This project is under active development and open to contributions from anyone interested in adventure, geography, mapping, or open-source collaboration.

Everything is based on pure HTML, CSS, JavaScript, external APIs, and Supabase as the backend.
We welcome contributions from anyone — from small bug fixes, feature additions, to documentation improvements.
