Prerequisites

• Node.js (v14 or higher)
• MongoDB
• Google Gemini API key

Installation

1. Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/adityasrivastava29/ai-powered-chatbot.git
cd ai-powered-chatbot

2. Install dependencies:

# Install backend dependencies
cd Backend
npm install

# Install frontend dependencies
cd ../Frontend
npm install

3. Configure environment variables: Create a .env file in the Backend directory:

MONGODB_URI=your_mongodb_uri
GEMINI_API_KEY=your_gemini_api_key
PORT=5000

4. Start the development servers:

# Start backend server
cd Backend
npm run dev

# Start frontend server
cd ../Frontend
npm start
