Welcome to the VSMC2 (Vintage Story Model Creator 2) repository.

Intro - Please Read!

VSMC2 is primarily being developed by Nat from Anego Studios, and is currently not suitable or recommended for general use. It is provided to you to monitor development and explore the program as it progresses.

Please keep in mind that some issues will be present in the prerelease versions. If you find any major issues (e.g. program not loading or consistent crashes) then please use the GitHub issue reporter to report these, but please use some hesitation in regard to minor bug reports. Many of these are due to the program being still in a prototype stage for certain features.

Running VSMC2

If you just want to use VSMC2 and are not interested in editing any code, then hop over to the releases and download the appropriate file for your operating system (currently Windows & Linux are supported). VSMC2 does not require installation, and can be run directly from the unzipped folder.

Building & Editing VSMC2

VSMC2 is built using the Unity3D Game Engine. Whilst different Unity versions may work, it is recommended to use the version given below:

Currently used Unity3D version: 6000.0.68f1

You will need to download the repository, and add it as a project to the Unity Hub. After installing the appropriate Unity version, you should be able to edit the program.

There exists two Unity scenes included in the project - "ModelCreator" and "SampleScene". Model creator is the main UI-based scene, and Sample Scene is where a lot of testing/prototyping happens.
