What is the purpose of the change
Fixes an issue on 32-bit architectures where a
size_tis only 32-bit and does not compare to the ZSTD errors, which are 64-bit. As far as I have found, only applies to the 1.12 branch.Verifying this change
This change is a trivial rework / code cleanup without any test coverage.
