Hi,
I'm not really a python dev (yet). I was told about the tabbed box maker plugin, but then I stumbled upon this newer version so I gave it a try. I tried installing boxmaker by unzipping the entire archive to Inkscapes plugin folder but that wasn't working for me. I took me a while to notice the Makefile inside the archive which installs it properly... so I guess the some minor install instruction may come in handy :)
