if there are multiple environment configurations present (e.g. dev, stage, prod) with each of them having its own target in xcode, it's necessary to sync versions for all the info.plist files of all targets.
added a function that finds all info.plist files and iterates through the files array to make sure every target gets synced and updated with the desired version.
