utm.codes uses a Generic Access Token to access the Bitly API for link shortening.

Generating a Token

Sign in to your Bitly account
Open the account menu by clicking the hamburger nav in the upper right corner
Click your account name to edit your profile
Click Generic Access Token
Enter your password to generate your token

Add API Key to utm.codes

Select utm.codes under the WordPress admin Settings menu
Scroll to the URL Shortener section
Select Rebrandly as your Shortener Service
Enter your API Key and Save Changes
