Discussed at length in #23 -- the crux seems to have been a name-resolution bug in
consul-templatethat resulted in a timeout when attempting to contact Consul.I included @satvidh's fix from the aforementioned PR because I couldn't get the app to work without it -- none of the services were showing up in the Consul UI otherwise.
