ThreatCheck is a Chrome extension that helps you assess the security and reputation of URLs by checking them against multiple security services with a single click.

Download or clone this repository.

Open Chrome and navigate to
chrome://extensions/. -
Enable Developer mode (toggle in the top-right corner).

Click Load unpacked and select the directory containing the extension files.

The extension is now installed and ready to use.
Note: Upon installing the extension, if your antivirus software flags any files, you may need to add the extension's directory to your antivirus exclusion list to avoid interference.
- Right-click on any link on a webpage and select "Check URL with ThreatCheck".
- Or select any text (URL or domain), right-click, and select "Check selected text with ThreatCheck".
- A new window will open with multiple tabs:
- The first tab shows information about the URL being checked.
- Each additional tab contains results from a different security service.
- Review the results from each service to assess the safety of the URL.
ThreatCheck does not collect or store any data. All checking is done through direct connections to publicly available security services. The URL you're checking is not stored anywhere except temporarily in your browser's local storage to facilitate the checking process.

This extension is not affiliated with any of the security services it uses. Each service has its own terms of service and privacy policy.
