Hey mate, I'm happy to merge this as is. But I thought that I'd mention that llvm support in this repo, leaves a lot to be desired. I have been slowly working on an llvm replacement for the gcc based toolchains for embedded devices here;

bazelembedded/rules_cc_toolchain#35

This will eventually replace the toolchain definitions here. The goal being to have a more modular and unified toolchain that works for multiple platforms including the host.
