When using fan overlay networking IP addresses of Juju controllers are managed automatically.

However, in this setup Sunbeam currently fails to bootstrap:

What happens if there is a 4th node added with compute+storage roles? Can it connect to the Juju controller behind the FAN network?

To have access to services within a Fan network, all nodes must participate in the Fan - so unless LXD is configured everywhere or the Ubuntu Fan manually configured on each node that's just not going to work.

Also Ubuntu Fan is deprecated so won't be about longer term so that's not really a good foundation.
