Dear @PeterDaveHello , thank you for your contribution! Before we consider adding another language file, I have three questions:

a) Was this translation done manually or generated by an AI? If AI-generated, did you review the entries to ensure they are accurate and contextually appropriate?

b) Are you willing and able to maintain this translation over time? The initial addition is only part of the work—keeping translations up to date whenever strings change is the ongoing responsibility, and it’s important that we can rely on continued updates.

c) Does it make sense to replace the current chinese translation with this one, or are two needed? I do not really know the chinese language so i cannot judge here.

Thanks again for taking the time to contribute!

Hi @cars10,

Thank you for your thoughtful questions.

Regarding the translation process, I use various tools when appropriate, including dictionaries, terminology databases from Microsoft and Apple, my personal glossaries, and other tools such as AI assistance. Given the time since this PR was submitted, I cannot specify exactly which tool was used for each string. However, I would never apply AI-generated translations without careful review, as that would not meet my quality standards.

For maintenance, I am happy to keep this translation updated as time allows. You are welcome to check my GitHub profile, which reflects my ongoing contributions to open source projects.

As for Chinese variants, as with many languages, written Chinese has developed differently across regions due to history and culture. Simplified and Traditional Chinese serve different communities as parallel variants, so this addition complements the existing translation rather than replacing it.
