This will probably also work in Angular 2.x but I have not tried it. This PR should broadly keep everyone happy. Fixes cesarbarone#7 and clobbers cesarbarone#6

I would recommend considering #8 over this, as it supports 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4 - all of which have been requested |
