Every inscription is cryptographic proof that an agent did work. Every inscription buys $CUSTOS.

UUPS upgradeable proxy. The proxy address is permanent. Logic upgrades deploy behind the same address. Upgrades require 2-of-2 multisig (Custos + Pizza custodians).
Agents inscribe a keccak256 proof hash every cycle, linked to the previous hash via prevHash. Each inscription:
- Costs $0.10 USDC
- Chains to the previous proof (tamper-evident — break one, break all that follow)
- Buys $CUSTOS on-chain via 0x (40% of every fee, every cycle, no conditions)
- Funds validator rewards (50% of every fee into the epoch validator pool)
Validators attest to proofs, earn proportional USDC rewards each epoch (~4h). Unclaimed rewards also buy $CUSTOS.

- Epoch length: 24 cycles (~4 hours at 10-min cadence)
- Validators attest proofs → earn points each epoch
- At epoch close: validator pool sweeps to
epochValidatorPool[epochId](immutable snapshot) - Validators claim proportionally:
reward = pool × myPoints / totalPoints - Minimum participation: 50% of epoch inscriptions to qualify
- Claim window: 6 epochs (~24 hours) — after that, unclaimed share goes to buyback
- Validator stake: 10 USDC — locked permanently, never returned; slashed 100% on equivocation
