As discussed over the document, I have made the changes to the code to incorporate the correct DCID for Channel Islands. I am hereby attaching the report.json generated after executing the code in the local machine for reference

Summary of Changes

Hello @pulkeet-wq, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request addresses an identified data mapping inaccuracy by implementing a dedicated Data Commons ID for the Channel Islands. This change ensures that data associated with the "CHI" ISO code is correctly linked to its specific entity, improving the overall precision and consistency of the dataset.

Highlights

  • DCID Correction for Channel Islands: The pull request introduces a specific mapping for the ISO3166Alpha3 code "CHI" to "dcid:ChannelIslands" within the worldbank.py script, ensuring accurate data representation for the Channel Islands.

🧠 New Feature in Public Preview: You can now enable Memory to help Gemini Code Assist learn from your team's feedback. This makes future code reviews more consistent and personalized to your project's style. Click here to enable Memory in your admin console.

Code Review

This pull request correctly updates the DCID for Channel Islands. My review includes one suggestion to improve the readability and maintainability of the code by refactoring the nested conditional expression into a dictionary lookup. This will make the logic clearer and easier to extend in the future.

The nested conditional expression makes this line a bit hard to read and could become more complex if more special cases are added. Using a dictionary for mapping special codes can improve readability and maintainability. I've also used an f-string for string formatting, which is used elsewhere in this file.

            }).apply(lambda code: {"WLD": "dcid:Earth", "CHI": "dcid:ChannelIslands"}.get(code, f"dcid:country/{code}")))
