The old function has very specific semantics around timezones to ensure that SSR hydration always worked.
Requesting changes till someone can verify this doesn't break hydration across timezones

Uses
date-fnsto generate human-readable time spans.About the same result for newest versions but provides better strings for older versions. Also flips the date and the human-readable time span.
