Caregiver

Essential requirements

• Mobile interface
• Some form of user interface
• User interface to input inbed and out of bed times.for the alert
• The system will send a meaningful message to that the client is not in, or out of bed
• The server platform will hold the number of the person to be notified in the event of an alert
• The Caregiver can send an acknowledgement to the system of receipt of the alert message and cancel an alert
• Ability to disable the alerting system
• There will be some form of status check to demonstrate end to end functioning of the system

Optional requirements

• Ability to add lee way to the alert times
• The caregiver can asked to be notified of a positive event (that the client is in bed or that the client has got up in the morning).
• The system can learn inbed and out of bed times
• To be able to specify more than person that an alert has occurred
• In the event that the first person on the list does not acknowledge an alert, the system will contact the next person on the list

Client end

Essential requirements

• The client will have one fixed location
• We are only tracking bed occupancy
• The system will have an uninterruptable power supply
• There will little or no maintenance or set up
• There will be some form of external communications link with the carer
• There will be some form of visual indication of correct operation of the system
• The reliability of the system will be at least as good as that of the communications link (in respect of sending an alert)
