🪟 First launch on Windows

When you open floorplan-generator for the first time, Windows may take a moment to check the file. This is normal for a new app.

If you see a SmartScreen prompt:

  1. Click More info
  2. Click Run anyway

If the app opens in a folder with several files, look for:

  • an .exe file
  • a launch file
  • a main app file

Double-click the main file to start the app.

🎛️ How to use it

  1. Open the app.
  2. Enter a short text prompt.
  3. Describe the space you want.
  4. Choose a layout style if the app shows one.
  5. Start the generation process.
  6. Wait for the floor plan to appear.
  7. Review the result.
  8. Save or export the plan if the app offers that option.

🏡 Example prompts

Use plain text like these:

  • One-bedroom apartment with open kitchen and living room
  • Small house with two bedrooms and one bathroom
  • Studio apartment with sleeping area and workspace
  • Family home with large living room and garage
  • Modern apartment with balcony and compact kitchen

🧱 Best results

Use short, clear prompts. Include the parts that matter most.

Try to mention:

  • Number of rooms
  • Room type
  • Open or closed layout
  • Extra spaces like balcony, office, or garage
  • Size style such as small, medium, or large
  • Layout mood such as modern, simple, or compact

  2. Click Run anyway

The download does not start

Try:

Try:

  • Closing other large apps
  • Restarting your PC

🗂️ File setup

After download, your folder may look like this:

  • floorplan-generator.exe
  • README files

  • image or model files
  • config files

Keep all files in the same folder. Do not move one file alone if the app depends on the others.
