Reviewed the workflow update from softprops/action-gh-release@v2 to @v3 in .github/workflows/release.yml.
No blocking issues found for this repository as of April 17, 2026. This workflow runs on ubuntu-latest GitHub-hosted runners, and the upstream v3.0.0 release notes indicate the main behavior change is the move to the Node 24 Actions runtime, which is appropriate for GitHub-hosted runners.
Follow-up caveat: if this release job ever moves to older self-hosted runners or older GHES infrastructure, we should re-check Node 24 runtime compatibility at that time.
