Using Home Assistant in a home in Japan

This page details how to connect Home Assistant to various devices in a house in Japan. I am using a synology NAS to host home assistant. The temperature and humidity is recorded in 4 rooms and outside using Xiaomi sensors. Energy use and solar power generation is recorded using the Mirueco mini. The distribution board provides information about the use of the air conditioners and the water boiler.
