Camera Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble the camera:

1. Print the Necessary Parts

  • Start by printing all required parts.

2. Insert Threaded Inserts

  • Place all M3 threaded inserts in their respective slots.

3. Glue the Camera Support

  • Use CA glue or 3D-printing-specific bonding glue to attach the camera support to the right_case part as shown on the previous image.

4. Install the Camera Module

  • Secure the camera module using M3x4mm screws.

5. Fit the Camera Ribbon

  • Thread the camera ribbon through the designated slot.

6. Prepare the Raspberry Pi

  • Insert the SD card into the Raspberry Pi.
  • Attach the Raspberry Pi to the touchscreen.
  • Connect the camera ribbon cable to the Raspberry Pi.
  • Slide the Raspberry Pi and screen assembly into the case.

7. The shutter button

  • Put the push button in the dedicated part and close it using CA glue or similar. Be careful not to glue the moving parts !

8. Assemble the Main Unit

  • Using the almighty hot glue, secure the USB C connection as shown below.

  • Slide in the battery pack in its location and add the charging/step up board in the front of the pack.
  • Connect the PCB button board, the shutter button and the battery to the GPIO using the following diagram.

9. Close it

  • Using the two link parts, secure the battery pack
  • Slide both parts of the cases together and using the 4 M3 screws left, close the assembly.
