- Adds project metadata (description, license, developers, SCM).
- Configures distribution management for Google Cloud Artifact Registry.
- Adds maven-source-plugin and maven-javadoc-plugin for release artifacts.
- Updates various build plugins to newer versions.
- Removes oss-parent to make the POM more self-contained.
