- Added `tests/test_world_builder.py` with 7 unit tests for `Lane.distance_to_point`. - Covers points on line, perpendicular, beyond start/end (clamping), zero-length lanes, diagonal lanes, and negative coordinates. - Added `tests/conftest.py` to mock `numpy` and `pygame` dependencies for the test environment. - Verified that tests correctly identify bugs by temporarily removing clamping logic. This PR adds comprehensive unit tests for the
distance_to_pointmethod in theLaneclass withinagents/world_builder.py. This method is critical for lane-keeping and collision detection. The tests cover:
To support running these tests in environments without
numpyandpygame, a mocking strategy was implemented intests/conftest.py.Coverage was verified by introducing a regression (removing clamping) and confirming that the tests failed as expected.
