The log_level local variable in read_and_set_config was uninitialized, causing unpredictable verbosity when input files omitted log_level. Initialize the local to 0 as a safety net and set log_level = 3 (INFO) in the base example input file. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
