This repository provides a comprehensive dataset designed to support research and analysis at the intersection of drinking water supply, urban heat stress, and housing provision. The dataset includes two main components:
-
📂 Relational Database:
A structured database of indicators across the three urban sectors. -
📚 Bibliographic Information:
References for all source papers used to extract the indicators.
The database is available in three formats to support different user needs:
- 🏢 Microsoft Access (.accdb): For Access users.
- 🧩 SQL (.sql): For use with other relational database systems.
- 📊 Comma Separeated Values (.csv): For users more comfortable with spreadsheets.
⚠️ All formats contain identical data and structure.
The database consists of several tables (see Table 1 in the documentation) and is organized with primary and foreign key relationships as shown in Figure 1 (schema).
- A file containing all source references (in BibTeX).
- Links each indicator to the literature from which it was derived.
- Download your preferred database format from the Releases or the Zenodo Archive.
- Use your preferred tool (e.g., Access, SQL manager, spreadsheet editor) to explore the data.
- Refer to the documentation for table descriptions and relationships.
- Explore the bibliographic file to review the scientific basis for each indicator.
- 🔄 Enables cross-sector analysis of urban systems.
- 🏙️ Supports evidence-based decision making in planning and policy.
- 📈 Facilitates longitudinal studies and benchmarking.
- 🔬 Encourages reproducibility and transparency in research.
