This PR appears to combine some desired changes with at least one change from an approved erratum, Erratum 1. I'd like to suggest that we file a separate PR for the change from that erratum and merge it, and then rebase the present PR accordingly (if it's still valuable and not superseded by the equivalent text in the DAP PR). |

As this PR seems to be here just as a reference, I converted it into a Draft PR in order to prevent it to be merged. |
