PyAudio is cool but it did not work with my audio device with 6 input channels and 2 output channels.
I added a new parameter to pyaudio.open()
input_channels=0which if left as 0, just uses channels to remain backward compatible. If set to non-zero, overrides thechannelsargument for input side.It's not the perfect API, but having channels as positional arg doesn't leave many options without breaking API compatibility.
