Jamhuri Day Historical Website

This is a Next.js historical website project aims to provide an in-depth exploration of the history of Kenya, spanning from precolonial times to the present, with a focus on the significance and evolution of Jamhuri Day. Jamhuri Day, celebrated on December 12th, marks the day Kenya attained independence in 1963.

Prerequisites

  • IDE (VCode For me 🔥).

Clone this repository

$ git clone https://github.com/jmoseka/jamhuriday.git
$ cd jamhuriday
$ npm install

Getting Started

First, run the development server:

next start

Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.

You can start editing the page by modifying app/page.js. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.

This project uses next/font to automatically optimize and load Inter, a custom Google Font.
