Purpose: Provide a basic linking process from a Pi-Star to the XLX497 Reflector for each digital radio type: DMR/D-Star/YSF
Current XLX497 Reflector Modules List
- Look at the XLX497 Reflector Modules List and decide which Talk Group TG (4001, 4002, 4003, 4004) you wish to connect
- DMR Master: DMRGateway
- XLX Master: XLX_497
- XLX Startup Module: A
- XLX Master Enable: On/Enabled
- DMR Color Code: 1
- DMR EmbeddedLCOnly: On/Enabled
- DMR DumpTAData: On/Enabled
- Click "Apply Changes"
- Modify your codeplug to include the following 5 Contacts

- Program your radio with your updated code plug.
- Select the Module you wish to connect on your radio: Example XLX497 A would be Module 4001
- Key the radio - this "links" the Pi-Star to the Module
- Select the XLX497 CQ channel on your radio
- Key the radio and call CQ!
- Look at the XLX497 Reflector Modules List and decide which MODULE (A, B, C, D) you wish to connect
- Log on the Pi-Star Admin Screen
- Within the "D-Star Link Manager" Section
- Reflector: Select XLX497
- Module: Select the XLX module you wish to connect
- Ensure the Link option is selected
- Click <Request Change>
- Ensure the URCALL field contains CQCQCQ
- Key up and say hello.
- Look at the XLX497 Reflector Modules List and decide which Digital Group DG (10, 11, 12, 13) you wish to connect
