💡 How to Use

Quick Start (Desktop App)

  1. Launch the Frame Splitter application
  2. Upload your video file:
    • Click the upload area, or
    • Drag and drop your video file
  3. Confirm – Button turns green showing "File Selected"
  4. Click "Split Frames" to begin extraction
  5. Wait – Progress bar shows real-time status
  6. Download – ZIP file automatically downloads when complete

📥 Installation

Option 1: Download Pre-built Application (Recommended)

Download the installer or portable version from the Releases page.

Windows:

  • Frame-Splitter-Setup-1.0.0.exe – Installer (recommended)
  • Frame-Splitter-1.0.0-portable.exe – Portable version

Option 2: Install from Source

# Clone the repository

# Navigate to project directory

# Install dependencies
npm install

🐞 Known Issues

Issue Impact Workaround
Large video files (>1GB) may take longer to process Performance Process shorter clips or upgrade system RAM
Very high resolution videos (4K+) require more memory Performance Increase Node.js memory limit
Network drives may slow down processing Performance Copy videos to local drive first
