XSquawkBox Networking Classes - README

The XSquawkBox networking classes are provided 100% as-is...we are not
providing tech support, feature requests, fixing bugs, etc.  Please feel
free to use these classes as a starting point for your own networking code.

To use these classes, predefine either APL, IBM, or LIN to be 1 depending
on the target platform.  Compile only the CPP files with the appropriate
extension.

These classes do not provide blocking APIs, except for "WaitForSockets",
which is only provided on Windows (but could be ported to Linux easily).
This reflects the networking code's origins in a non-blocking X-Plane plugin.

These classes are not thread-safe.

The Mac implementations use Open Transport and will work in a CFM plugin
on Mac OS 9 or OS X, or in a Mach-O plugin.  If you want to use BSD networking
in a Mach-O plugin, the quickest solution would be to port the Linux sockets-
based implementation.

All IP addresses and ports are passed around in native-endian format.

The source files may have the wrong line endings for your platform - be 
sure to check line endings if you have a compile problem.
