Ended up picking Google style but setting spaces for indent to 4. To format, you simply do

clang-format -i <file>

The .clang-format file holds are of the styling information. If we want to change the style to suit our preferences, its fairly easy, just pipe all c++ files into the clang-format command and there is plenty of documentation meaning finding these format options should in principle be easy.

If you see any style that looks glaringly bad, I can change and reformat
