The SCREEN PROTECTOR Truth & Our Rigorous Testing Standards Screen protectors DO make a different - but only if they're the right material - and not all tempered glass protectors are built the same. We've tested all the different brands on the market, and found the differences in adhesive to be as important as the actual quality of the glass and bendability of the glass.
We now require the following specs and durability results before choosing the screen protectors for our customers:
- The screen protectors should be able to bend 180 degrees (touching one side to the other) without any cracking.
- The adhesive should be strong enough that peeling the protector from any corner is difficult (cheaper protectors tend to come off entirely with a simple nail under a corner)
- The protector should cover as much of the screen as possible - up until the screen curves to the edges if it does. More coverage = more protection.
- If the protector covers the front camera, there should be no distortion in selfies when the protector is applied.
And if a protector can meet all these requirements, we accept it as the protector we recommend for our customers and regularly use in our stores.
We don't mess around. All our in-person repairs come with free diagnostics - and a "No-Fix No-Charge" Policy!
