Summary

Improves the README's first-30-seconds impression and makes Discord easy to find for new community members.

Changes

  • New 👋 Welcome section near the top of the README: what you can build (enterprise search, copilots, multi-doc pipelines, version-aware retrieval, RBAC-aware agents), the "focus on agents — KS handles knowledge" tagline, and clear community links.
  • "When asking a question" checklist so help requests arrive with context (what you're building, which flagship, which framework, where you're stuck).
  • Discord badge added next to GitHub Discussions in the badge row.
  • Discord now appears in the "Building with Knowledge Stack? Reach out" block as the fastest channel.
  • .github/ISSUE_TEMPLATE/config.yml — Discord surfaces as the top contact link on the issue picker page.

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

  when asking" block
- Add Discord + GitHub Discussions badges
- Surface Discord in the "Building with Knowledge Stack? Reach out" block
- Add Discord as the top contact link in .github/ISSUE_TEMPLATE/config.yml
so it appears on the issue-picker page
