Summary

  • Replaces elkimek/honcho-self-hosted (126 stars, community fork) with plastic-labs/honcho (2.2k+ stars, official repo)
  • Updated across all 4 relevant files: data/repos.json, ECOSYSTEM.md, index.html, ecosystem-map.html
  • Set official: true in repos.json since this is the source repo, not a fork/community project
  • Star count and description updated to match the actual repo

Swaps the community self-hosted fork (126 stars) for the official
plastic-labs/honcho repo (2.2k+ stars) across repos.json, ECOSYSTEM.md,
index.html, and ecosystem-map.html. Marks entry as official=true.

@erosika is attempting to deploy a commit to the Kevin's projects Team on Vercel.

Thanks for the contribution, @erosika! I dug into this before merging and I think we actually want both repos listed rather than a swap. Here's what I found:

These aren't the same repo:

  • elkimek/honcho-self-hosted isn't a GitHub fork of plastic-labs (fork: false, parent: null on the API). It's a standalone repo whose own description is "Self-host Honcho memory layer for Hermes Agent β€” OpenRouter + Venice, no code changes." So it's a Hermes-specific deployment wrapper, not a community mirror.
  • plastic-labs/honcho is the canonical upstream memory library β€” generic, not Hermes-specific.

For the atlas, both belong:

  • plastic-labs/honcho β†’ the upstream library the ecosystem builds on. You're right that it should be listed and marked official: true.
  • elkimek/honcho-self-hosted β†’ a Hermes-specific integration (OpenRouter + Venice wiring), which is exactly the kind of downstream ecosystem project this atlas exists to surface.

Ask: could you update the PR to add plastic-labs/honcho alongside elkimek/honcho-self-hosted instead of replacing it? Happy to merge once that's in.

Friendly bump @erosika β€” still happy to merge this if you can adjust the PR to add plastic-labs/honcho alongside elkimek/honcho-self-hosted (per my earlier comment) rather than replacing. Both belong on the atlas: the upstream library and the Hermes-specific deployment wrapper. If you'd rather not, no worries β€” feel free to close and I can add plastic-labs/honcho directly. πŸ™

Closing β€” plastic-labs/honcho is now being added directly via #147 (consolidated with another stale community PR). Per the original review comment, the agreed direction was to add the upstream library alongside elkimek/honcho-self-hosted rather than replace it. Both belong on the atlas. Thanks again for surfacing this @erosika β€” the discovery was the right call even though the implementation path moved. πŸ™
