Welcome to the svsim wiki!

svsim is a small package to simulate structural variations in NGS data.

Workflow

simulate a reference genome
specify structural variations in a bed like format
simulate donor genome with the structural variants
generate reads from donor genome
map donor reads back to reference genome
use your favourite sv caller and compare results
